Price:  KERMAN carpets are beautiful. There is a very high demand for them around the world so they are more expensive than similar carpets from surrounding areas. Expect to pay $8-$35 Per Square Foot (PSF) for a carpet from KERMAN.

The city of KERMAN is in southeastern IRAN and has long been a carpet weaving centers. It is located in the center of Kerman province, 1022 km(635 miles) southeast of TEHRAN.

The population of KERMAN is around 2 million (KERMAN City: 340,000). KERMAN has a hot and dry summer and a cold and dry in winter.

KERMAN is an ancient city and was called BOTIA during the Achaemenid Dynasty. It is a center of trade in the region and is accessible from Persian Gulf and Oman Sea ports by railway and highway.
