I appreciate your message on our message board. I am not sure what are you looking for? You just mention Bokhara 1930, and size of the rug. OK! Let me try! Bokhara is one of the most ancient cities in Central Asia. http://www.tashkent.org/uzland/bukhara.html Bokhara rugs usually made by TURKMEN tribe. The most famous one at least in the west are TEKKE Bohkara that were made by TEKKE tribe. Tekke are the main tribes of TURKAMEN. Bokhara rugs have small, repeating geometric designs and normally fine quality. The elephant foot and octagonal 'gul' motifs tend to look best in smaller sizes that make the most of the intricate pattern. Bokhara rugs are not the hardest wearing rugs so they are recommended more for decorative use than high traffic areas. These rugs usually come in greens, reds, whites, and browns. A good shape and beautiful TEKKE Bokhara worth a lots of money. Just make sure you bought an original Bokhara made in Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and or http://www.oldcarpet.com/turkamen.htm IRAN. The cheap quality Pakistani doesn’t worth more than $50 in the US market. I will appreciate if you attached a picture of your rug if you want further assistant. Please feel free to contact me if you do have any question or suggestion.
