It is an honor to receive such nice comments about our site (oldcarpet.com) from one of our friends in rug business.
I am not sure why Turkmen or the ways we say it FARSI (Turkaman) tribe are not using the new style.

Turkmen are very interesting people. They are living under tribe rules and in different countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, and Uzbekistan. The main portion resides in Turkmenistan. They are many tribes of TURKMEN such as Yomut, Teke, Arsary, Chowdur, Alili, Salyr, Saryk, etc.
The Yomut are the most populous Turkmen tribe in the world. Due too high demand for Yomut rugs in western countries is getting harder to get real Yomut Turkmen rugs. This interest in the market forces the other tribes to mimic the Yomut patterns and forget their traditional patterns. The problem is getting bigger as you see Turkmen rugs from INDIA in the market. As far as I know, there are no Turkmen tribe lives in INDIA. It is getting much harder to find a real Turkmen with right price in Western countries. We do have some real Turkmen rug from Yomut of IRAN in stock if you are interested I will be able to send you some pictures and our price lists. Please feel free to contact me if you have any question or suggestion.

Thank You
