Visibility:
QUOCHAN rugs and carpets are characterized by geometric patterns. One can see a considerable Turkmen influence. They also bear similarities with other KURDISH rugs from eastern IRAN.
Quality:
QUOCHAN rugs and carpets are of good quality.
Size & Shapes:
QUOCHAN rugs and carpets come in different sizes, but the majority of them are mid-size (4 x 6 to 8 x 10 feet).
Color:
The main colors are dark burgundy, indigo, ivory and light green.
Texture:
Soft wool; thin, tight pile.
Foundation:
Warps is mostly cotton; wefts is either cotton or wool.
Knots:
Inspection of the back of the carpet is important because the weavers in QUOCHAN use both Persian and Turkish knots. The quality of the carpet depends upon the number of knots, which varies, but averages from around 120 KPSI (30 RAJ).
Price:
Expect to pay $6-$10 Per Square Foot (PSF) for a rug from QOUCHAN. Keep in mind that you will pay more as the KPSI increases.
